Project overview

Fire Safety Constructions were selected by competitive tender by Building Maintenance Consulting to achieve the fire upgrade requirements of the Sydney City Council whilst maintaining the significant heritage value which throughout the fire upgrade process.

Stage 1 valued at $370,000 completed from February-June 2013 saw an upgrade of fire detection, EWIS, and emergency/exit lighting.

Stage 2 valued at $500,000 included installation of a stair pressurisation system and electrical mains upgrade. Much of this work occurred afters hours so commercial suites could operate throughout the day.

Stage 3 valued at $240,000 saw completion of heritage sensitive evacuation signage, fire rating penetrations works inside commercial suites and installation of smoke seals to electrical cupboard doors.
