This 4 level Rushcutters Bay building required new fire rated unit entry doors. The owners were keen to match the feel of their existing original doors and we were able to provide them with several options.
The agreed scope involved using flush timber veneered doors with staining to match a sample door and timber fire rated frames. The frames were milled in Tasmanian Oak to achieve the required density and minimum thicknesses for fire rated frames. Similarly, architraves were custom milled to an original profile and stained to match.
To minimise disruption to residents and due to limited workspace on site, the doors and frames were prefabricated and pre-coated at an offsite facility.
