Earl’s Court is a seaside project comprised of 6 units overlooking Tamarama Beach. Fire Safety Construction were awarded the project by competitive tender by Martin and Spork Architects. The project value was $170,000 and works were completed during October-December 2011.
Fire safety upgrade involved fire rating to unit walls and ceilings, fire door sets smoke alarm/detection, exit/emergency lighting and modification of balustrade.
The existing timber balustrade required modification to comply with D2.16 & D2.17 of the BCA. The attractive location demanded a high-end finish. A stainless steel handrail was fixed to existing timber balustrade. See below video for installation process.
