Fire Safety Constructions were engaged by Building Maintenance Consulting for staged work on residential apartments at 199 Pyrmont Street. Stage 2 work were completed in December 2012 and Stage 3 in September 2013. The combined value of stage 3 & 4 sits between $500,000 – $750,000.
Work Stages 2 & 3 consisted of auditing fire stopping & damper compliance to AS1851 in the basement car park and all units. Non-compliant issues were rectified and documented. This included the correction of the buildings fire dampers & ducting, fire collar installation and sealing between all units and common areas.
Fire Safety Constructions used smart phone technology and their online database to efficiently document all fire stopping measures, penetrations and dampers. This technology showed client, staff and subcontractors – the location, component type, existing/required fire safety measures and photographs for over 700 elements within the building.
